Make things
that matter

Super curious, brainchild of founder Alex Molloy, is a collaboration and community working together to make things that matter. We design change by providing services and design thinking workshops to conscious companies and entrepreneurs.

We focus on mission minded work that emphasizes on innovation, community, social innovation, education and art. To show our dedication to these causes we donate hours of free design thinking workshops to nonprofits and mission driven companies each month through our probono program.

ABOUT ALEX MOLLOY, SUPER CURIOUS FOUNDER

I am a designer. I am a researcher. I am a maker of things that matter. I am super curious.

I am passionate about using human centered design to tackle global challenges and use this to guide my work as founder of Super Curious, an impact product design firm, and as a facilitator of human-centered-design (HCD) workshops internationally.

Currently I lead Super Curious, a social impact design firm that specializes in digital product design, research and human-centered-design workshop facilitation.

Most recently I worked for a regenerative agriculture technology company, Indigo, on the mobile Carbon app as well as  data visualization for a two sided marketplace. Previously, I ran a team of anthropologists, designers and researchers as the Director of Design Research at Wondros, a creative agency focused on impact work.

As an educator, I have designed workshops for OpenIDEO, guest lectured at UC Berkeley Haas on ‘Design Thinking for Entrepreneurs’ and Art Center on ‘Design Research’, and have taught the immersive and part time User Experience Design course at General Assembly.

In addition, I have organized and facilitated human-centered design workshops for OpenIDEO Los Angeles Chapter for 5+ years around global challenges such as education, circular design and dementia for membership of 300+ professionals. I have been a part of the OpenIDEO Chapter Board for 2 years, helping mentor new chapters.

Prior to design; I worked as a photojournalist and draws upon this and 10+ years international tech startup experience to my work with China and India.

To keep a positive life balance, you can find me exploring, backpacking, printmaking, mountain climbing, and photographing the streets of LA. I hold a BA in Art Studio (Photography) and Global Studies (Africa) from U.C. Santa Barbara.

Clients include: MIT Sloan School of Management, NFL, UC Berkeley Haas Business School, OpenIDEO, University of Pittsburgh CTSI, and General Assembly.
