When I checked in I must have made an impression to the guy at the ticket counter because he hooked my backpack up with a nice plastic bag (normally reserved for strollers), said that he would try to keep the seat next to me open, told me about the free hotel room I would get because of my layover and then when I was boarding just now, he came out of the woodwork and told me to chill and wait to the side while everyone was standing in line and then personally led me past a number of disgruntled and questioning other passengers to let me board first!
